Piano Performance

The Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app City University provides talented pianists with the artistic training, performance experience, and professional preparation needed to excel in today’s musical world. Through intensive individual instruction, masterºìÐÓÖ±²¥app, solo and collaborative performance opportunities, and a comprehensive curriculum in keyboard literature, pedagogy, and musicianship, students develop the technical mastery, musical imagination, and versatility essential for successful careers as performers and educators.

Piano Performance majors study in a supportive and highly personalized environment that emphasizes both artistic excellence and real-world experience. Students regularly perform as soloists, collaborative pianists, chamber musicians, and accompanists while working closely with accomplished faculty mentors. 

ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app's Piano Performance graduates have continued their studies at leading graduate institutions and established careers as performers, collaborative pianists, and educators. Exposure to arts leadership and other music-related professions carry forward ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app’s tradition of producing versatile and accomplished musicians.

The degree plan below shows the courses required for completion of a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance. The course sequence is a suggestion only, and each student will meet with his or her advisor to discuss the most appropriate sequence for that student.

All degrees require a minimum of 124 earned credit hours. Students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours to be considered a full-time student. Students must receive credit for six semesters of Music Assembly. Students must attain the required piano proficiency and performance levels as stated in the Undergraduate Catalog.
